Press the Edit Security Settings button Security must be setup first. Select the Security mode from the dropdown that you are using or want to use on the router. If using WPA, make sure the key renewal period is the same as the routers. Save the settings. You will need to input your new security mode password. Login to the Extender IP address. You should see a login popup. Now fill in the rest of the information leaving wireless security alone as it is now already set.
Some suggest changing the address to be one address higher than the router example: if the router is Save Settings, close browser. Reconnect to the "new" extender SSID same as the router network.
You will now be connected to the entire network, with Extender now connected to it. If it is blue it is now connected to the routers network. Once connected to the SSID network, login to extender using the default This password will need to be used whenever logging into the extender via its IP address now. After pressing OK you will now need to login to the extender with the new password to get back to the connected Extender configuration screen. The Configuration page should show all changes made to match the router complete.
Close the browser, setup is complete. Disconnect from the SSID. Reconnect to the SSID. Final check is to log into both IPs of the router and the extender. Both should be accessible by their own IPs when working on the same network.
